Abstract

This study examines the knowledge and awareness of sustainable housing practices among UTAR students. Recognising the role of future professionals in shaping sustainable living, the study investigates the relationship between key influencing factors—level of education, attitude toward sustainability, environmental awareness, and peer influence—and the students' understanding of sustainable housing. Using a quantitative method, 100 respondents were surveyed through structured questionnaires. Spearman’s correlation analysis revealed significant relationships between these factors and awareness levels, particularly highlighting the importance of attitude and environmental awareness. The findings underscore the need for targeted educational interventions and campaigns to foster a sustainability-conscious student community
