Abstract

ABSTRACT: Noise is undesirable sound and has a bad impact on health in the long term. Jalan Raden Panji Suroso and Jalan Sunandar Priyo Sudarmo Malang City are areas that are densely packed with transportation activities, causing quite high noise in the area. So with that carried out an analysis of noise levels in the area and find out the perceptions of road users to existing noise. The method used for analysis is in accordance with the method stipulated by the Decree of the State Minister for the Environment No. Kep.48 / MENLH / 11/1996, which is held for 4 days, namely Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the time interval is 10 minutes with data reading every 5 seconds. The results of the analysis of the value of the day-night noise level (LSM) on Jalan Raden Priyo Suroso and Jalan Sunandar Priyo Sudarmo are the highest on Friday, which is located at point 3 Traffic Lights Jl. Plaosan Timur-West is 91.2 dBA and the lowest noise level is Friday, which is located at point 1 Depan Polsek Blimbing of 85.2 dBA. This value has exceeded the quality standard set by the Regional Regulation of Malang City No. 1/2012 concerning Buildings, namely 60 dBA for office areas and 55 dBA for residential areas. The results of distributing questionnaires also indicated that transportation activities on the road caused noise and had a bad impact on health.
