Abstract

ABSTRACT, In improving drinking water and clean water supply services, PDAM Malang City has an effort so that it can meet the criteria in terms of quantity, quality, and continuity. One of the efforts to improve drinking water supply services is to optimize the drinking water supply system by reducing the level of water loss, both physically and non-physically. The percentage of water loss (Non Revenue Water) in the drinking water supply system of PDAM Malang City is 19.80%. This is of course already below the national standard for tolerance for clean water leakage rates for PDAMs according to the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. Of course, achieving this target is not easy, because in reality it is difficult to analyze the number of physical leaks in the drinking water supply system.

The purpose of this research is to formulate a strategy to reduce the level of physical water loss that occurs in the DMA (District Meter Area) Mojo 1C and Mojo 2B4 in the distribution system of PDAM Kota Malang. The formulation is carried out using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) decision making method which consists of 4 criteria and 4 alternatives to control physical water loss.

The result of this study is a decrease in the percentage of water loss at DMA Mojo 1C by 58.33% and DMA Mojo 2B4 by 5%. The recommendation for physical water loss control resulting from AHP analysis is Active Leakage Control (Applying active checks at DMA locations) with the highest weight of 0.464.
