Abstract

Problems that arise on Gatot Subroto aren’t only traffic jams, but also environmental problems such as air pollution and noise pollution. The noise generated isn’t only caused by the sound of passing motorized vehicle, but also due to the effects of the road surface and the prohibition, especially the sound of car horns. Air sources are used by increasing human activities that produce pollutants, one of which is vehicles that produce exhaust gases in the form of CO, NOx, and many more.
Measurement of noise level and emission load was carried by taking three sampling points on the eastern part of Gatot Subroto, Malang City. Noise level analysis using a Sound Level Meter (SLM) with reference to the Decree of the State Minister of the Environment No. Kep.48/MENLH/11/1996, and analysis of emission load using preliminary data on the number of motorized vehicles multiplied by the emission factor.
The average day and night (LSM) noise level is 78,6 dB(A) which exceeds the noise quality standard of 60,0 dB(A) based on Malang City Regulation Number 1 of 2012. The average CO emission load is 19,17 kg/km.hour and 1,65 kg/km.hour for NOx average.
