Abstract

ABSTRACT, Loss of water or other terms Non Revenue Water (NRW) or water without a bill (ATR) is the biggest problem that should and should receive special attention from water supply agencies in the regions, namely Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM), the impact of water loss can cause of the loss factor and one indicator of the company's failure in a water supply system where the government provides a standard of water loss of 20%. Almost all PDAM in Indonesia often experience water loss problems and seek to provide ways to control water loss, especially in PERUMDA Air Minum Tirta Galuh, Ciamis Regency, where the largest contributor to water loss is the type of physical water loss in the form of leakage.

So that in this study aims to provide the best way to suppress or reduce the level of leakage in the main distribution network pipeline. The method is given from the stages of identifying water leaks, the cause of water leaks, then the last stage using the decision-making method using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) which consists of 3 criteria and 4 alternatives to suppress or reduce the level of water leakage in the main distribution network pipe PERUMDA Air Minum Tirta Galuh, Ciamis Regency.

The conclusion of this study was obtained from a series of stages obtained from the identification results that the pipe that often leaks is the Asbestos Cement Pipe (ACP). the cause of the frequent occurrence of leaks due to pipes that have passed their operational technical age, accessories in the form of pipe seals (rubber) on the connectors between pipes that often crack, this is due to the quality that is not in accordance with its durability. And there is negligence on the installation of new pipes and accessories to be used or when making changes. Then the last step in making a decision on how to reduce the level of leakage using the AHP method, the best way is obtained, namely the replacement and/or repair of pipes and accessories with a value of 0.598.
