EVALUASI KINERJA UNIT FILTER ANAEROBIK IPAL KOMUNAL BERDASARKAN DATA MONITORING ONLINE KUALITAS EFLUEN DI KELURAHAN TLOGOMAS

Abstract

Malang City is one of the cities that has implemented communal IPAL treatment in several densely populated areas. One of the areas that implements communal WWTP processing is Tlogomas RT 5/ RW 5 which is a densely populated area. Domestic wastewater treatment in RT 5/ RW 5 uses an
Anaerobic Filter (AF) unit. Performance in domestic wastewater treatment is still low so it is necessary
to evaluate the performance of the Communal WWTP to find out the cause.

The research was conducted at the Communal IPAL, Tlogomas Village, Malang City which has 3 units of anaerobic filter compartment. The method of evaluating the performance of communal WWTPs uses the method of measuring the level of removal of BOD, COD and TSS. Then compare the design
parameters such as organic load and residence time in the reactor in the evaluation of the design criteria and literature study.

Based on the results of the research and evaluation results, it was shown that there was no removal of BOD, COD and TSS with removal percentages of -48.8%, respectively; -54.54%; -39.81%. The low performance of the WWTP is due to inadequate maintenance of the filter media on the Anaerobic Filter
unit, causing clogging.
