Abstract

In the implementation of K3 construction projects, the level of knowledge, understanding, and application by the parties concerned for the prevention of work safety is very low. The objectives of this research are 1) To identify the factors that cause construction accidents 2) To determine the relationship between the identified factors. This research was conducted by searching the literature and the incidence of accidents by searching for the factors that cause work accidents in construction using sources and references from previous studies as well as news from print and electronic media, after which it searches for construction accident news. It has occurred in the last 10 years in the form of synthesis of descriptions and tables to look for relationships between factors, whether these factors have a direct or reciprocal relationship with the help of the PLE Ventana simulation (Vensim) application which is used to measure the relationship between the causes of accidents by looking at the caustic diagram. The results of the analysis of the dominant accidents occurred, the dominant factors causing accidents, the relationship between the factors in the causatic diagram shows that the incidents of construction accidents that often occurred in the last 10 years which were summarized from 2015 to 2019 were accidents which claimed lives such as minor injuries. even died, as for construction accidents occurred in MRT projects, toll roads, bridges, and underpasses and what often happens is accidents on toll road projects. The factors that cause work accidents are the absence of construction OSH experts and the use of inappropriate implementation methods, weak K3 mastery, insufficient quality and quantity, availability of personal protective equipment, less disciplined workforce in complying with the provisions in K3 so that with The results of the analysis using the Vensim PLE application obtained a direct and reciprocal relationship of the factors that caused the accident. And it can be continued with flow diagram analysis using mathematical equations to predict the effect of causal factors on accident.
