PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH PECAHAN BATU MARMER SEBAGAI PENGGANTI AGREGAT 10/10
Studi Kasus : Campuran AC-WC (Asphalt Concrete - Wearing Course) Terhadap Nilai Karakteristik Marshall
Abstract
The limitation of river stone material for the pavement mixture will gradually decrease. In
this study, an alternative use of marble stone waste as a substitute for the 10/10 aggregate in
the AC-WC mixture. In Tulungagung Regency, especially Gamping Rejo Village, there are
marble stone waste from handicraft processing which is only used as piles of potholes and less
economically valuable. This study aims to determine the effect of marble stone waste as a substitute for
aggregate 10/10 in terms of the Marshall characteristic value and also the feasibility of marble
stone waste. Then make 45 test objects, followed by testing using the Marshall Test method in
the construction materials laboratory of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology
Malang. From the Marshall test results before and after using marble stone, the optimal asphalt
content values were obtained (5.80%) and (5.81%). For good levels of waste marble stone
fragments obtained at a variation of 25% with Marshall characteristic values: Stability (973.63
Kg), Flow (3.00 mm), VIM (3.99%), VMA (16.88%), VFA (76.36%), MQ (328.19 Kg / mm).
Based on the test results, marble is suitable for use as a substitute for 10/10 aggregate on the
AC-WC layer with the following values: Flakiness (20.04%), Impact (12.98%), Abrasion
(27.26%), Density (2, 58), Absorption (1.43%).
