Abstract

Road Geometric Planning is part of road planning which aims to determine the real dimensions of a road and its parts that are adapted to traffic demands. This plan will pay more attention to several parameters that are directly related to traffic characteristics and their derivatives. The parameters in question include horizontal alignment and vertical alignment. The road that will be planned is the Sebagian Kuncir - Pogoh road, which is one of the accesses from Nganjuk Regency to Kediri along 2.00 km with the status of the road as a provincial strategic road being one of the focuses of accelerating the development of the Selingkar Wilis Area road which is regulated in PERPRES No. 80 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of Economic Development. To plan the road geometry, regulations are used in accordance with the Regulation on Geometric Planning Procedures for Inter-City Roads No. 038/TBM/1997 geometric planning of the road by making several alternative modeling in the Auto CAD Civil 3D program. Based on the results of the analysis, the optimal geometric planning is the third alternative road where 4 bends are obtained horizontally, namely 3 SCS (Spiral Circle Spiral) bends & 1 FC (Full Circle) type bend, while the vertical alignment is 5 curves in the form of 1 convex type ( crest) and 4 types of concave (sag), the percentage of slope for descent (negative slope) is -1.75%, -3.25%, and -1.19% while the percentage of slope for incline (positive slope) is 5.03 % and 8.33%, and the volume of excavation and embankment is 117,208.14m3 and103,984.16m3 with the cost of the workRp20,558,065,556.64. As for The cross section of this design road has a pavement width of 2 x 3 m with a transverse slope of 2%, and a shoulder width of 2 x 1.5 m with a transverse slope of 3%.
