Abstract

An increasing population will increase the rate of solid waste generation. The research objective was to analyze the solid waste generation, composition and characteristics as well as the economic potential obtained at TPS Purwosari. Making The TPS 3R scenario and calculating CH4 and N2O emissions resulting from the waste management process. The sampling method for waste generation uses a loud count analysis, with the composition using the intersection method according to ASTM D5231-92. The planned scenario is the existing condition and ideal condition. Interview with questionnaire and calculation of economic potential. The calculation of transporting residual solid waste to the landfills uses the HCS, SCS, and manual methods. The final stage is then calculating the CH4 and N2O emissions. The results of the questionnaire obtained a "good" category regarding the existing conditions of solid waste management, but only represented 0.13% of the community. The results of the calculation of mass balance by comparing scenario 1, which is 18.523 kg / day will be disposed of directly to the landfills  which causes it to exceed the capacity at the landfills  and scenario 2 with the waste management at garbage dump with the TPS 3R method which produces residual waste of 7632.8 kg / day. The results of scenario 2 analysis are most appropriate to use with the economic potential obtained in the range of IDR 2,786,138 - IDR 49,064,835. Budget Plan The cost required for the construction of the 3R TPS is IDR 584,133,121.00 and an area of 1505.65 m2. The calculation result of transporting residual waste to the landfills  is based on CH4 emissions of 187,044 kg and the resulting N2O emissions are 29,495 kg per
