Abstract

Klaten is located in an earthquake-prone area due to its proximity to the Dengkeng Fault and Opak Fault. This study analyzes the seismic performance of a building in Klaten using response spectrum analysis. The analysis results show that the dynamic base shear force is equivalent to the static base shear force of 1719.194 kN, which meets the requirements. The maximum drift on the second floor is 0.0778 m in the X direction and 0.0787 m in the Y direction, which meets the allowed inter-story drift limit (Δa/ρ) of 0.0808 m. For the serviceability limit performance criteria, the maximum inter-story drift (Δs) on the second floor of 0.0141 m in the X direction and 0.0143 m in the Y direction meets the serviceability limit performance limit (0.03/R × hsx) of 0.0158 m. For the ultimate limit performance criteria, the maximum floor-to-floor deflection (Δm) multiplied by 0.7R on the second floor is 0.0792 m in the X direction and 0.0801 m in the Y direction, which meets the ultimate limit performance criteria (0.02 × hsx) of 0.0840 m.
