Abstract

Long Bagun District is the administrative and economic center of
Mahakam Ulu Regency, which experiences an annual population increase. Along with
this growth, waste generation has also increased; however, it has not been balanced with
an optimal waste transportation system. This study aims to analyze the efficiency and
requirements of waste transportation in Long Bagun District to achieve optimization. The
research method employed is a quantitative approach with primary and secondary data
collection techniques, including direct observation, waste generation surveys, and
literature studies. The transportation system analyzed is the Stationary Container System
(SCS), utilizing arm roll trucks and dump trucks. The results show that the off-route time
for arm roll trucks is 0.12, while for dump trucks it is 0.05. Optimization by adding
transportation frequency to 2 trips/day for arm roll trucks reduces the off-route time to
0.11. The conclusion indicates that with the addition of 2 vehicles for Long Bagun Village
and 2 vehicles for Ujoh Bilang Village, using only 1 transportation trip, waste
transportation can be optimized.
