Abstract

The Pancursari Plantation rubber processing factory is a factory that is currently still
under construction. The factory is located in Malang Regency and has an area of 28,290 m2
. In the process
of treating liquid waste water at the PTPN XII rubber factory, Pancursari Plantation does not yet have a
Waste Water Treatment Plant (IPAL) so that the waste released is still above the quality standard. The
waste produced is in the form of liquid containing organic matter with high levels of BOD and COD. Based
on these problems, a design for WWTP is needed so that the wastewater discharged into water bodies meets
quality standards.
Planning is based on the characteristics of wastewater obtained from research data and existing
conditions which aims to determine the required IPAL, Bill of Quantity (BOQ) and RAB building designs.
The planned alternative technology is processing with Anaerobic-Aerobic Immersed Biofilter technology.
Based on the calculations, the results obtained for the dimensions of length×width×depth the first
unit is an equalization basin (3.4m×1.7m×1.2m), the second unit is an initial deposition basin (2m×1
m×1.2m), the third unit is the neutralization unit which has a diameter dimension of 0.25 m and a depth of
0.7 m, the fourth unit is an anaerobic biofilter basin which has (2.4m×1.2m×1.2m), the unit fifth is an
aerobic biofilter basin having (2m×1m×1.2m), the sixth unit is a final settling basin having (2m×1m×1.2m).
