Research articles should generally contain the following sections:
The required sections should be clearly presented and follow the organization specified in the official ALINIER template.
The title should clearly and concisely represent the content of the manuscript. Author names must be written without academic or professional titles. Authors must ensure that the following information is consistent between the manuscript and the metadata entered in the journal submission system:
Affiliations should include the relevant department or study program, faculty, institution, city, and country. Any discrepancy between the manuscript and submission metadata should be corrected before submission.
The manuscript must contain abstracts in Indonesian and English on the same first page. Each abstract should contain:
Each abstract should not exceed 150 words. Authors should provide 4–5 keywords that represent the main concepts of the manuscript.
The Introduction should explain the research background, research problem, and research objectives. Authors should present the relevant state of the art through a review of recent research and compare previous studies to identify the research gap. Based on the research gap, authors should explicitly explain the position and novelty of the present study compared with previous research and state the main contribution of the research. The Introduction should also explain the research approach or method and its contribution to the relevant field. The Introduction should be written as a narrative without subsections and supported by relevant, recent, and preferably primary references.
The Methods section should provide sufficient information to allow readers to understand the research procedures and, where appropriate, reproduce the study. Depending on the research design, the Methods section should clearly describe relevant aspects such as:
Mathematical equations should be numbered consecutively, and symbols and variables used in equations should be clearly defined.
The Results and Discussion section should present the research findings systematically using appropriate narrative descriptions, tables, figures, graphs, or other supporting materials. The discussion should not merely describe the results. Authors should:
The Conclusion should directly answer the research objectives based on the findings. It should emphasize the main findings and contribution of the research rather than simply repeat the Results and Discussion. Limitations, implications, and recommendations for future research may be included where appropriate.
Figures and tables must:
Figures should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Sources must be acknowledged when figures or other visual materials are reproduced or adapted from other sources. Tables should use appropriate horizontal lines and avoid vertical lines. Authors should follow the detailed figure and table formatting specifications provided in the official template.
ALINIER uses the IEEE citation style. Citations should be numbered according to their order of appearance in the manuscript and enclosed in square brackets, for example [1], [2], or [3]–[5]. The same reference should retain the same reference number when cited again. The reference list must be arranged according to the order of citation in the manuscript, not alphabetically. References must be relevant to the topic and scope of the journal and should support the statements or analyses presented in the manuscript. Authors are encouraged to prioritize primary and recent scholarly sources. Authors are encouraged to use at least 15 relevant and recent references. At least 80% of the references should be journal articles. Books, proceedings, and other scholarly sources may be used as supporting references. DOI or an active URL should be provided when available. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote with the IEEE citation style.
Research involving human participants, animals, personal data, or other research subjects requiring ethical consideration must comply with applicable ethical standards and obtain approval from the relevant ethics committee when required. Where applicable, authors must provide the name of the approving institution or ethics committee and the approval number in the manuscript. For research that does not require ethical approval, authors should provide an appropriate statement explaining why ethical approval is not applicable.
All authors must have made meaningful contributions to the research and/or preparation of the manuscript. Authors must provide an Author Contribution Statement describing the contribution of each author. Contributions may include conceptualization, methodology, investigation, data curation, formal analysis, visualization, validation, supervision, and writing or editing.
Authors must disclose all sources of funding that supported the research and/or publication. The statement should include the name of the funding institution and grant or contract number, where applicable. If the research did not receive specific funding, authors should explicitly state this.
Authors must disclose any financial, personal, institutional, professional, or other interests that could influence or be perceived to influence the research or its publication. If no conflict of interest exists, authors should provide an explicit statement declaring the absence of a conflict of interest.
Authors must disclose the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or AI-assisted technologies in the preparation of the manuscript when applicable. The statement should identify the AI tool used and describe its purpose or role in manuscript preparation. AI tools must not be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and content of the manuscript, including content produced or assisted by AI tools. The use of AI-assisted technologies does not transfer responsibility for the manuscript from the authors.
