ALINIER: Journal of Artificial Intelligence & Applications was established as part of the scientific publication requirements of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang. The establishment of the journal was initiated through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) among Departments/Study Programs of Electrical Engineering from universities, institutes, and polytechnics that are members of the Forum Teknik Elektro Indonesia (FORTEI) Regional VII East Java.

Following its establishment, ALINIER has focused on publishing basic and applied research related to Artificial Intelligence and its applications, particularly research addressing scientific and technological problems through simulations, case studies, and implementation. The journal emphasizes research findings, new ideas, technological developments, practical solutions, and the utilization of Artificial Intelligence in relevant engineering and technological fields.

As part of its academic engagement and dissemination activities, ALINIER has also participated in the Seminar Nasional Forum Teknik Elektro Regional 7 (SINARFE7), an annual scientific forum organized by FORTEI Regional VII East Java.
