SEBAGAI PENGGANTI AGREGAT 0/5 PADA CAMPURAN ASPHALT CONCRETE - BINDER COURSE (AC-BC)
Studi Kasus : Penelitian Penggunaan Batu Putih Bangkalan Pulau Madura
Abstract
The top layer of the asphalt description is called the surface layer, which is the layer of the best quality. This layer has a material that plays an important role, namely aggregate. In general, the aggregate used as a constituent of asphalt is river stone that comes from mountain rock fragments or from rivers. However, the lack of availability of river stones in Bangkalan Regency, Madura Island, so that white stones are used as an alternative because they are easier to find there. This study aims to determine the feasibility of white stone as a substitute for 0/5 aggregate in the AC-BC (Asphalt Concrete – Binder Course) mixture and the optimum percentage of white stone as an alternative to river stone. Then make 39 test objects using the Marshall Test method in the Construction Materials Technology Laboratory, Civil Engineering Study Program S-1, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, Malang National Institute of Technology with variations in white stone content of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it was found that the white stone of Bangkalan Regency, Madura Island is suitable for use as a substitute for 0/5 aggregate in the AC-BC (Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course) mixture, because the results of variations in the content of white stone on the characteristics of Marshall meet the requirements of DPU Bina Marga 2018 and from the results of marshall testing, the optimum percentage of white stone content variations was 49.89%. Based on the stability value at the maximum point of 1088.01 kg. The flow value is 3.066 mm, VIM is 4.25%, VMA is 16.40%, VFA is 74.10% and MQ is 355.65 kg / mm.
