Abstract

The project implementation method generally uses the implementation method which is carried out in conjunction with the design process. The Construction Project for Vocational Laboratory Building and Vocational Creative Industry Phase I Universitas Brawijaya is applied by the Fast Track Method. The Fast Track method is a creative and innovative project control method to speed up the project completion time without increasing costs..

Case study Project Construction of Vocational Laboratory Building and Vocational Creative Industry Phase I Universitas Brawijaya experienced delays in project implementation. Early progress, there was a delay in implementation in the second week, planned for 6.0%, only realized at a percentage of 4.0% until the 6th week, which was planned for 27%, only realized at a percentage of 26% with a time difference so that it could not be completed according to the planned schedule , among others, technical problems in the form of design changes in foundation work which are not in accordance with the work plan, resulting in changes to the design for adjusting the image to field conditions and methods of implementing work in the field that are not in accordance with the work plan.

The results of the analysis show that the application of the fast track method can provide benefits in the form of time savings for 14 days or 14% from 116 days to 102 days. Meanwhile, there was an increase of Rp. 10,324,470 or 0.18% for the addition of addictive substances to accelerate the hardening process of the concrete to avoid delays.
