PENGARUH PASIR PANTAI SEBAGAI
Studi Kasus : PENGGANTI AGREGAT 0/5 CAMPURAN ASPHALT CONCRETE – BINDER COURSE (AC-BC)
Abstract
Construction developments such as roads in Indonesia are currently growing rapidly, this can be seen how the Government builds toll roads, trans Papua, trans Kalimantan and other areas in Indonesia equally. Highway facilities are a very important facility in the life of every human being. This is because the road functions as a transportation facility in economic and social activities. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a significant effect by using beach sand as a substitute for 0/5 aggregate in terms of Marshall characteristic values and what is the optimum percentage of use of beach sand as a substitute for the 0/5 aggregate in the AC-BC layer. Testing and manufacturing of test objects was carried out from February to May 2020 at the Civil Engineering Construction Materials Laboratory of the National Institute of Technology Malang. Based on the results of testing beach sand as a substitute for 0/5 aggregate on the Asphalt Concrete - Binder Course (AC - BC) layer with variations of beach sand 25 %, 50%, 75% and 100% affect the characteristic values with stability values of 1069.21kg, 1073.75kg, 982.07kg, 905.75kg, respectively. Flow 3.33mm, 3.47mm, 3.53mm, 3.61mm. VIM 4.06%, 4.00%, 3.97%, 3.94%. VMA 16.42%, 16.37%, 16.35%, 16.33%. VFA 75.28%, 75.56%, 75.71%, 75.89%. MQ 321.90kg / mm, 310.46kg / mm, 278.67kg / mm, 253.16kg / mm. From the beach sand aggregate test, the results are: Density test 2.68 gr / cm2> 2.5 gr / cm, 1.40% absorption <3%. Thus it can be declared that it meets the requirements of the AC - BC specification.
