Abstract

Floods are a big problem due to many factors, including human factors such as the accumulation of garbage that is not in place, the narrowing of river bodies due to illegal settlements and population growth changing water catchment areas into settlements. The Air Hitam area experienced flooding even though it was raining with moderate intensity. The existence of floods that occur will have a negative impact on facilities and infrastructure. Some of the roads are flooded so that it interferes with traffic and the activities of people who use the road, so an evaluation of the performance of the drainage channel is carried out. The data required are maximum daily rainfall, topographic maps, land use maps and the existing condition of drainage channels. The method used by E.J Gumbel and Log Person Type III for the design discharge and the Manning formula calculates the dimensions of the new channel. The result of the discharge plan for the 10-year return period is 0.94 m3/s. Channels that are unable to accommodate the planned discharge will be re-dimensionalized. On Jalan Abdul Wahab Syahrani b = 2.20 m and H = 1.17 m (3 left), b = 2.20 m and H = 1.23 m (3 right), b = 2.12 m and H = 1.20 m (4 right). Jalan Kadrie Oening b = 1.18 m and H = 0.84 m (1 right), b = 2.00 m and H = 0.79 m (2 right), b = 1.60 and H = 1.12 m (3 right). Jalan Juanda b = 4.40 m and H = 2.80 m (1 left), b = 4.00 m and H = 2.84 m (2 left), b = 3.50 m and H = 1.95 m (1 right), b = 3.50 m and H = 2.07 m (2 right).
