KAJIAN KARAKTERISTIK SIMPANG BERSINYAL DENGAN METODE PKJI 2014 (STUDI KASUS PADA SIMPANG JL. PANGLIMA SUDIRMAN – JL. UNTUNG SUROPATI – JL. KH.A.DAHLAN – JL. URIP SUMOHARJO KOTA PASURUAN)

Abstract

The city of Pasuruan is located on the main north coast route that connects the islands of java with the island of Bali, making it a city with tremendous financial potential in the eastern part of Indonesia. Hight traffic flow mobility is one of the causes of traffic congestion which also affects comfort and safety in activities. To improve the performance of the intersection, it is necessary to analyze and evaluate the performance of the intersection in order to obtain an alternative for the problem of the intersection. The study and analysis was carried out based on the 2014 PKJI. The processed data were obtained from the results of a survey on March 1, 2020 and used the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation 96 of 2015.The results of the analysis with PKJI 2014 obtained that the degree of saturation of the intersection is 0.897 (more than 0.85), the queue length reaches 337 meters, and the delay is 251.263 seconds/skr, with a service level of F. The chosen alternative for the problem of the Simpang Empat Jl. Panglima Sudirman – Jl. Untung Suropati – JL. Kh.A. Dahlan – JL. Urip Sumoharjo is to use Geometric Widening L = 3 meters on all approaches. This alternative gets the degree of saturation value of 0.635 (below 0.85), the maximum queue length is 71 m.
